Pinehurst Medical Clinic Sleep Disorders Center is recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as an Accredited Sleep Disorders Program dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a broad range of sleep problems and disorders.  Among the services offered by our Sleep Disorders Center is a full-service, free-standing sleep laboratory with four state-of-the-art sleep suites.  The Sleep Disorders Center is headed by physician David C. Thornton, M.D., who is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine.

The state-of-the-art facilities in our Sleep Disorders Center allow us to perform a range of on-site diagnostic tests, including:

• Polysomnography
• PAP titration
• Multiple sleep latency test
• Maintenance of wakefulness test
• Nocturnal oximetry
• Actigraphy

The first step toward sound, restorative sleep is an evaluation by your primary care physician to determine if you are a candidate for a sleep study. Alternatively, you may choose to make an appointment directly with one of our Sleep Medicine physicians.
