Connie joined PMC in April 2014 working in the pulmonary department as a Respiratory Therapist. She has worked in various areas, including the hospital, outpatient and homecare. In respiratory therapy, Connie was given the opportunity to work one-on-one with tobacco users who were trying to quit, in addition to patients who had sleep apnea, which led her to become a Health Educator. In August 2016, Connie began her internship with the Wellness Department and in January 2017 she joined the team. She conducts Annual Wellness Visits, and assists and educates patients in the Intensive Behavioral Therapy (IBT) for Obesity program through one-on-one counseling and group facilitation. A philosophy that Connie shares daily is “No matter your age, it is never too late to break old habits and form new ways that will make a healthier you.” She has seen firsthand the amazing results of healthy lifestyle changes, noting that it just takes willingness and one change at a time.
