Anjanette Barrick-Phillips, PA-C, has joined the Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) Rheumatology team at PMC Rheumatology – West End, where she is working under the direction of Christopher Tracy, MD, FACP, FACR. Her addition to PMC emphasizes the clinic's commitment to meeting the area's growing demand for rheumatological care, specifically for those who suffer from complications of osteoporosis. Barrick-Phillips will support PMC in providing increased access to care and advanced osteoporosis treatment services for the community.
Barrick-Phillips earned both her Master of Physician Assistant Studies and her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical College, Omaha, NE.
Before entering the medical field, Barrick-Phillips served in the U.S. Army for 10 years as a medic. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for medicine through helping others heal and improve their quality of life. Her experience in the military shaped a care philosophy grounded in compassion, understanding, and respect for each individual’s unique needs. “When providing care, I believe everything starts with a strong relationship between the patient and provider, built on trust and open communication,” says Barrick-Phillips. “By clearly explaining medical options and involving patients in their care decisions, I empower them to be active participants in their own health journey.”
Barrick-Phillips chose PMC because of the organization’s clear commitment to patient-centered care and the emphasis providers place on spending meaningful time with patients while delivering the highest quality care.
Outside of caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their two Rhodesian ridgebacks. She also loves to spend time coaching gymnastics, running, paddleboarding, and home remodeling.
Anjanette Barrick-Phillips, PA, will see patients at PMC Rheumatology – West End located at 4204 Murdocksville Road, West End, NC.
