New Primary Care Provider joins Pinehurst Medical Clinic

September 25th, 2026

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is excited to welcome the newest addition to its Primary Care department, Allison Valenza, DNP, FNP-BC. Valenza will work under the direction of Scott Luneau, MD, at PMC Primary Care – Morganton Park.

Valenza earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.

For Valenza, a career in healthcare was a natural choice, rooted in her passion for building relationships, connecting with others and making a meaningful difference in their lives. “As a primary care provider, I have the privilege of seeing my patients more regularly than they may see specialty providers, which allows me to build deeper connections and be a consistent source of support throughout their lives,” Valenza says. “Having the opportunity to truly know my patients, walk alongside them and care for them over time is what I feel I was created to do.”

Her care philosophy centers on holistic, patient-centered healthcare that looks beyond physical symptoms alone. While physical health often takes priority by default, she believes mental and emotional health matter just as much. Her goal is to help patients make informed decisions about their care so they can be as healthy and informed as possible, and she considers it an honor to be part of that journey.

Valenza chose to join PMC because she has seen its commitment to quality care firsthand. Since moving to the Sandhills, she has watched PMC's excellence hold steady across every season of her life, first as a community member and patient, then as a nursing student and student nurse practitioner, and now as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She's proud of that consistency and excited to begin her career with the organization.

Originally from New Bern, Valenza moved to the area in 2020 with her husband and their two pets: Ramses, an 11-year-old Maine Coon mix, and Asher, a 6-year-old German Shepherd. Outside of work, her favorite hobby is cooking, she loves exploring cuisines from around the world, most recently inspired by her first trip to Europe this past spring.
