Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is proud to welcome Christopher Strong, DO, ABFM, to its Primary Care team at PMC – Carthage Street, in Sanford.
Strong brings 20 years of clinical experience to PMC. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University, Kirksville, MO, and completed a three-year Family Medicine residency at Lincoln Medical Education Partnership, Lincoln, NE. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, MN.
Strong pursued a career in healthcare out of a deep desire to care for others and build meaningful, lasting relationships with his patients. He finds fulfillment in working collaboratively with patients to maximize their quality of life and support both short- and long-term health goals. His care philosophy is holistic, recognizing that health includes physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being. “I like to collaborate with my patients and truly value their input,” Strong shared. “My goal is to ensure patients feel heard, valued, and supported, so they can confidently make informed decisions about their care.”
When choosing to continue his career with PMC, Strong was drawn to the clinic’s multi-specialty model, which he felt fostered continuity of care and high-quality, coordinated treatment. He was also impressed by the dedication of PMC’s physicians and staff, and their shared commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Outside of work, Strong enjoys spending time outdoors with his family of six. Whether hiking in the mountains or walking along the beach with their Saint Bernard and Labrador Retriever, they are excited to make North Carolina home and explore all the Carolinas have to offer.
