Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is excited to welcome Brandy Newtown, FNP, to its Primary Care team at PMC – Carthage Street. She has over 28 years of clinical experience and will be working under the direction of Jennifer Normann, MD.
Newtown earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from South University in Atlanta, GA. She earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Central Carolina Community College, Sanford NC, and then went on to pursue an accelerated Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Administration and Management from Aspen University, Denver, CO.
Newtown realized at an early age that she wanted to be part of a profession that promoted healing, comfort, and hope for people. She recognized that healthcare was the way to do that by being there for families and patients during times of vulnerability and seeing that compassionate care can make a difference in someone’s life. This helped develop her care philosophy, which focuses on active collaboration with patients, their families, and caregivers through the development and implementation of holistic treatment plans. She shares, “By working together as a team, we can create meaningful goals that help patients’ overall health and wellbeing.”
Newtown knew she wanted to join PMC after spending five months here as a nurse practitioner student. During that time, she saw firsthand the providers’ commitment to building lasting patient relationships and improving the community’s overall health. She also felt that PMC’s values closely aligned with her own, reinforcing her desire to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
Newtown is a NC native and grateful for the opportunity to care for individuals and families in her community. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, traveling, and exploring small towns throughout North Carolina.
Brandy Newtown, FNP, will see patients at PMC Primary Care- Carthage Street, located at 555 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC.
