Pinehurst Medical Clinic Expands Walk-In Clinic Care in Sanford and Southern Pines

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is expanding access to patients needing convenient, same day care with the addition of Lauren Peledge, FNP, AANP, ANCC. Peledge will see patients at PMC’s Walk in Clinics in Sanford, NC and Southern Pines, NC.

Peledge earned her Master of Science in Nursing, with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Simmons University in Boston, MA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, NH.

Peledge knew from the age of 12 that she wanted to become a nurse. At the time, her youngest brother was in the NICU, and she witnessed firsthand the incredible care and compassion provided by nurses. The experience left a lasting impression, deepening her desire to care for others and confirming that nursing was the right path for her. “I truly enjoy connecting with people, understanding their needs, and providing compassionate care that makes a meaningful difference in their lives,” she shared.

Peledge created a care philosophy centered on a holistic, patient-centered approach. She believes in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms, and ensuring they are actively involved in their healthcare journey. “It’s important to me to truly listen to my patients, understand their concerns, and collaborate with them to create a personalized care plan that honors their preferences and values,” she said. “I view healthcare as a team effort.”

As a current PMC patient herself, Peledge has experienced the exceptional care, professionalism, and support the team provides. She felt that PMC’s mission and CARES values, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service, closely align with her own personal and professional beliefs. By continuing her career with PMC, Peledge is not only able to care for others but also give back to the community that has supported her.

Originally from Cape Cod, MA, Peledge is excited to call North Carolina home after many years away from the East Coast. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their dog. She's also an avid sports fan, cheering on both her children’s teams and her favorite Boston teams.
