Pinehurst Medical Clinic First Workplace in Moore County to Join Alzheimer’s Association Brain Health At Work Program

August 12th, 2026

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is participating in the Alzheimer's Association Brain Health At Work program, a no‑cost national initiative that equips employers with tools to create brain‑healthy workplaces, reduce employees’ risk of cognitive decline and support workers who serve as caregivers.
Brain Health At Work provides evidence‑informed education, resources and practical guidance to help employers support employee well-being and long-term cognitive health. The program translates the latest science on risk reduction into actionable steps organizations can implement to help their workforce build healthier brains and healthier futures.
"Pinehurst Medical Clinic is excited to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Brain Health At Work program,” said Brandon Enfinger, Pinehurst Medical Clinic Chief Executive Officer. “This initiative allows us to invest in our employees’ brain health and empower them with resources that support cognitive wellness throughout their lives.”
Brain Health At Work recognizes four levels of participation in the program, based on current best practices companies use to build a brain-healthy workplace. Pinehurst Medical Clinic is recognized at the Silver level, for earning an assessment score of 152 out of 206 points. Participating companies are eligible to receive reassessments annually.
The Alzheimer’s Association is leading a national movement to make brain health a workplace priority. More than two‑thirds of U.S. adults have at least one risk factor for cognitive decline, and research shows that addressing modifiable risks, including physical inactivity, poor nutrition and unmanaged chronic conditions, can improve brain health at any age.
At the same time, 8.7 million working‑age Americans are caring for someone living with dementia, and many caregivers carry their own elevated risk of developing cognitive issues.
“Brain Health At Work builds on traditional workplace wellness programs by bringing brain health to the forefront,” said Katie Evans, chief programs and mission engagement officer at the Alzheimer’s Association. “With 86% of Americans saying they want to improve their brain health, employers have a powerful opportunity to help millions of people take meaningful steps that may reduce their risk of cognitive decline.”
As a participant in Brain Health At Work, Pinehurst Medical Clinic will incorporate brain health education into its workplace wellness efforts, share practical strategies employees can use to reduce risk factors for cognitive decline and provide information and support for employees balancing work and caregiving responsibilities. For more information about Brain Health At Work, visit https://bit.ly/4g7QyH2
