Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is excited to welcome Amanda Burd, AGACNP-BC, to its established pulmonology team in Sanford at PMC- Greenway Court. She will be working under the guidance of Bradley Icard, D.O., providing expert care focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory diseases.
Burd earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
Burd chose a career in healthcare for many reasons, but primarily due to her love of helping others and making a positive impact on her patients’ lives. She values the opportunity to support her patients throughout their health journeys and finds great fulfillment in witnessing their progress firsthand. Additionally, Burd is passionate about the lifelong learning that a career in healthcare offers, constantly expanding her knowledge to provide the best care possible. She has created her care philosophy around high-quality, evidence-based care. “I believe in balancing advanced clinical judgement with compassion, ensuring that patients feel supported when receiving safe, effective and timely treatment,” she states.
During her clinical rotations, Burd had the opportunity to work alongside providers at PMC, where she developed a strong passion for the pulmonology department. She was drawn to the respectful and collaborative environment fostered by the team and looks forward to serving the Sandhills community alongside them.
Outside of work, Burd enjoys spending time at the ice rink with her husband and two sons, who play travel ice hockey. She is also a fan of Tennessee Football, loves to travel, and cherishes time with her family.
Amanda Burd, AGANCP-BC will see patients at PMC- Greenway Court, located at 1413 Greenway Court, Sanford, NC.
