John Rapacz, PA, has joined Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) Rheumatology – Doctors Drive. Located at 1816 Doctors Drive, Sanford, NC, working under the direction of Sudeep Thapa, MD.
Rapacz earned his Master of Medical Science degree and completed his physician assistant program at Yale University, New Haven, CT. He also received his Bachelor of Health Science at Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC.
A retired U.S. Army Special Forces medic, Rapacz provided medical care in various challenging environments during his military service, an experience that sparked his interest in a healthcare career. "I quickly discovered that I enjoy the combination of medicine, problem-solving, and helping others," he said. That experience, paired with his passion for healthcare, shaped his care philosophy: active listening and compassionate, respectful care, paired with honest, high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
When considering career opportunities after graduation, Rapacz chose Pinehurst Medical Clinic for its outstanding reputation for top-tier care and its commitment to the local communities it serves. Joining an organization with that same level of dedication to patients was a top priority for him.
A longtime North Carolina resident, Rapacz spends his free time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys saltwater kayak fishing, golfing, hunting, and being outdoors.
