Why Attend Diabetes Education Classes?

Living with diabetes is about more than simply checking blood sugar. Our program helps you understand how everyday choices—including nutrition, exercise, stress, and sleep—affect your health while giving you practical strategies you can begin using immediately.

Throughout the program you will:

  • Build healthy habits one week at a time
  • Learn practical skills you can apply between each class
  • Better understand how food, activity, medications, stress, and sleep work together
  • Set realistic goals that fit your lifestyle
  • Learn alongside others in a supportive, encouraging environment
  • Create lasting habits that can improve diabetes management in as little as 30 days

Experience Your Health with a Free Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM)

One of the unique features of this program is the opportunity to experience a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM).

Eligible participants will receive a complimentary CGM sample to wear during the program, allowing you to see—in real time—how your daily choices affect your blood sugar.

You'll gain valuable insight into how factors can influence glucose levels, making it easier to identify habits that support healthier blood sugar control.

  • Meals and snacks
  • Physical activity
  • Stress
  • Sleep
  • Daily routines

Seeing these patterns firsthand often provides the motivation and understanding needed to make lasting lifestyle changes.

What You'll Learn

During the course, participants will receive education on topics including:

  • Healthy eating for diabetes
  • Understanding diabetes medications
  • Preventing and treating high and low blood sugar
  • Physical activity and staying active safely
  • Healthy coping and stress management
  • Caring for your heart, kidneys, eyes, and feet
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) training

Each class builds upon the previous week's discussion, giving you opportunities to practice new skills before returning for the next session.

Who Should Attend?

These classes are designed for adults with a diabetes diagnosis who want to better understand and manage their condition.

Whether you're newly diagnosed, adjusting medications, or simply looking for additional support, this program can help you gain the knowledge and confidence needed for long-term success.
