Fall Prevention Zone Tool


Falls happen fast—and can lead to painful injuries like sprains and strains.

You can reduce your risk of falls using these tips:

  • Wear proper footwear
  • Keep walkways well-lit and clutter-free
  • Use handrails on stairs
  • Take your time—do not rush

If you do experience a fall, and think you have sprained or strained something - Watch for these signs:

  • Swelling or bruising
  • Pain around a joint or muscle
  • Limited movement
  • Tenderness or weakness"

If pain is severe, you can’t put weight on it, or the swelling isn’t going down—it’s time to get care.
