Julie Baugher, MD

Biography

Julie Baugher, MD, is a member of Pinehurst Medical Clinic's primary care team at PMC - Morganton Park. With over 20 years of experience caring for patients' internal medicine needs, Dr. Baugher has developed a care philosophy that goes beyond treating patients physically. When caring for patients, she considers their entire well-being from physical to mental health. She emphasizes nutrition, fitness, and disease prevention, while also caring for the patient’s emotional journey. Outside of caring for patients, Dr. Baugher enjoys being active, a round of golf, reading, and spending time with her family.

In addition to being a board-certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Baugher is also a board-certified obesity medicine physician through the American Board of Obesity Medicine(ABOM). Physicians who are certified by the ABOM have obtained the highest standard of certification in the practice of obesity medicine and obesity care. ABOM-certified physicians are designated Diplomates of the ABOM, and are specifically trained to evaluate, treat, and advocate for patients with the chronic disease of obesity and obesity-related conditions using evidence-based approaches with a focus on:
